It’s Martini Month!
We are thrilled to welcome our first instalment of a series of cocktail clubs, first off we showcased the Martini and hosted a Masterclass at Three Little Words, it was a fun evening of exploration into the history of the Martini, with tasters and demonstrations led by our expert bartenders. Raspberry Martinez
What is the difference between a Martini and Martinez we hear you say. Well, the main difference is the vermouth. A Martini uses a dry vermouth, whereas, a Martinez uses a red (sweet) vermouth.
50ml Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused
10ml 45 Dry Vermouth
10ml Cocchi de Torino
10ml Luxardo Marachino
2 dash Orange Bitters
2 dash Angostura Bitters
Method: Stir with Ice
Garnish: Orange Zest Discard, Marachino Cherry
Breakfast Martini
For those who don’t know, a Breakfast Martini uses orange marmalade to create a bitter sweet flavour.
20ml Cointreau
25ml Lemon Juice
10ml Simple Syrup
1 tbsp Marmalade
Method: Shake with Ice
Garnish: Orange Zest Twist
Tonka Espresso Martini
The tonka bean is some what reminiscent of the vanilla bean. This makes our tonka bean vodka, made using vacuum distillation to extract intensity of the flavour, the perfect addition to an Espresso Martini.
Ingredients
50ml Manchester Spirit Tonka Vodka
50ml Espresso
10ml Mr Blacks
10ml Simple Syrup
