The Distillery Launch

This year, we’re bringing Manchester Gin to our customers like we’ve never been able to do before. In December, we announced our plans for a new distillery, bar and restaurant in the city centre, and in April, we received planning permission.

Now the hard work starts, and over the next few months, we’ll be transforming six Grade II* listed railway arches underneath Manchester Central Convention Centre into a distillery, bar, restaurant, and Manchester Gin HQ.

Opening September 2019

The venue will open in September 2019, and we’ll be celebrating with a bang. From VIP parties to a week-long soft launch, where you’ll be able to sample the food and drinks menus at introductory prices, you won’t want to miss our grand opening.

The Spirit of Manchester Distillery, Bar and Restaurant

The new distillery will allow us to produce over one million litres of gin every year, but it’ll also mean that you can experience the drink, the process, and the Manchester Gin story like never before. You’ll be able to watch our distillers work from the street, but better than that, we’ll be opening our doors to you, so you can take a touor, learn about how our gin is made, and even make your own gin, under the expert instruction of our master distillers.

With the 1000-litre still – who’ll go by the name of Wonder Wend – and gin school filling one of the six arches, we’ll also be opening a bar and restaurant, which will be open to the public at all times. Here, you’ll get to enjoy our products in creative, artistic cocktails that explore exciting flavour combinations, and celebrate skillful mixology. The food menu will be crafted from local, artisanal produce, and will be expertly paired to our drinks menu.
