Winter Spiced Negroni
This is a perfect winter warmer to compliment a cold Christmas evening. Get the fire roaring, the minced pies in the oven and a winter negroni in your hand. Spiced, rich and plenty of depth in this twist on the classic and a celebration of the warming Liquorice that is far more present in our Overboard gin. Get your feet up and those cockles warmed.
35ml Infused Overboard
25ml Antica Formula
35ml Hot Water
For the infused Overboard gin: Take 200ml gin, add in 4 cloves, 2 star anise, 1 Liquorice stick and 1/2 tsp all spice. Infuse for up to 24hours but keep tasting for the right amount of spice.
For the drink: Usually a negroni would be stirred over ice until perfectly diluted. For this hot negroni you will need to find a container to stir the liquid in over a Bain Marie, this will allow the heat to transfer to the liquid, and then for the dilution, you will need 25ml of boiling hot water added into the mix. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a squeeze of orange zest.
